Volunteer:

Amyloidosis Australia is an organization founded and totally run by volunteers.

Listed below are some of the areas in which we very much need volunteers to help

* Participating on the online forum (not just lurking...) which is available when you register on the website.  Just having someone to talk to who has been through similar problems as yourself can be very comforting and reassuring.  It can also help you to talk about your experiences - therapists use this technique all the time!

* Fundraising

* Translation of documents into other languages - contact us!

* Political Advocacy Support (do you know any Australian/NZ Politicans?)

* Publicity and Media Relations (Is your local paper journalist interested in your story?)

Contribute: We rely on donations to help us with our work in raising awareness about Amyloidosis at conferences, as well as running this website and producing pamphlets & CD's about Amyloidosis.

Any donation you can make would be greatly appreciated!  We are DGR endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office, so you can claim any amount over $2 donated to us back from your Australian Tax return.  On receipt of your donation we will forward you an official receipt within 30 days. We do accept international donations, but your donation will not be tax deductible.
